Technology will change the construction approach!

In Singapore, CORENET e-Submission system (eSS) is a G2B Government to Business (G2B) internet-based system that enables industry professionals to submit project related electronic plans and documents to regulatory authorities for approval (CORENET, 2016).

A recent post by a Swedish expert, Stefan Engeseth, mentioned that Google and Microsoft will pounce the traditional industry with:

• Business intelligence for much open procurement process

• Made easy data management approach for operation and maintenance

• Cloud-based approach to replace interpersonal connections

Further to the above, the technology now is much affordable and 'easy to get' from shops or even via online purchase!

Therefore, there is an urge to look into computational approach for construction activities.
